Training Grants without Using Your VA Benefits
Heavy Metal Truck Training school works with nonprofit agencies to provide FULL training grants to qualified Veterans. This allows Veterans to save their VA benefits for other family members and dependents, or to use for other purposes.
Receive Additional Income
Many of the carriers that work with Heavy Metal Truck Training school participate in the VA and Department of Labor Driver Apprenticeship Program. This program pays Veterans up to $14,000 over-and-above their regular earnings. These additional earnings are normally tax-free.
Veteran Tuition Reimbursement Program
Some carriers will reimbursement Veterans who had to use their VA benefits to pay for their CDL training and education. Reimbursement covers up to $7,500 of a Veteran’s CDL training costs.

Carriers know that Veterans have the team work experience, leadership and positive qualities that are necessary to succeed in the transportation industry. Many carriers offer their Veteran drivers additional benefits and perks.
